"Looking at an urban view where there is no hint of growing things, how are the seasons depicted?
Painting from my studio window in New York City, I chart the changes in the angle of shadows, the quality of light and the weather.
In this winter painting, a light dusting of snow sets the stage but the temperature is revealed by the clouds of steam that rise from each building and billow diagonally across an icy sky."
