"Autumn could be viewed as nature's last call of the year, a final attempt to display its splendor for the world to see before transitioning into winter's cold embrace. Or perhaps it is more a symbol of ripening, readiness, harvesting and accomplishments.
Of the five elements in nature, autumn embodies the fire element. In Eastern tradition fire represents transformations, changes, and offerings of our deeds and dreams. And although too much fire can burn, just enough can be a source of warmth both internally and externally, physically and emotionally. Ultimately, fire is enlightening and through burning represents the ending of a cycle and the creation of ashes, which in time nurture the soil.
Could autumn, like fire, represent the end of nature's cycle, a season of ashes that in turn nurture the soil and eventually begin the cycle anew?"
