The Rockaways shoreline in Queens, NY was devastated by Hurricane Sandy, the deadliest and most destructive hurricane of the 2012 Atlantic hurricane season. Many residents that evacuated or left on a "temporary" basis before the hurricane hit, returned to ruined homes. This series documents one Rockaways neighborhood where, since the hurricane, a developer-driven atmosphere has resulted in pricey condos and demographically-inappropriate beachfront townhouses that are economically out-of-reach for its previously displaced residents.
