Women are as roses, whose fair flower,
being once displayed, doth fall that very hour.
-- Twelfth Night, Act II, Scene 4
"I juxtaposed the fair flowers of roses with the powerful display of women donned in pink hats at the Women's March January 2017. I am aware that Shakespeare in this particular line from Twelfth Night was describing a woman's beauty as fading as she ages...but to me beauty is in strength and power and what I saw on January 21, 2017 was beautiful. And remarkable. And never fades. And something that I shall never forget."
