This group of paintings - Guilty Parties - is meant to indict those responsible for economic and environmental crimes to benefit the ultra rich.
James Rose lives in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn with his wife and two boys. James is originally from the Hudson River Valley in Upstate New York.
He studied painting at the Maine College of Art, receiving a BFA in 1994. He lived in San Francisco from 1995 to 2006, working as an artist. He returned to the East Coast and eventually settled in NYC in 2008.
He has been an activist with OWS and has shown his work throughout the Tri-State area. He is a resident in the Chashama Studio Program in the Brooklyn Army Terminal. He also is enrolled in the MA Art Education program at Brooklyn College.
