Desperation

from Under the Influence

Linda Serrone Rolon participated in the Under the Influence show in Fall 2016 at Village West.

Linda Serrone Rolon was born in 1974 and raised in the boroughs of NYC. Serrone Rolon was raised is an untraditional fashion that forced her to be the observer she is today. At a very young age she traced everything in sight. This created a strong muscle memory of the human face and a trust in herself that allows a drawing to truly unfold.

She holds a BFA in painting from "the school of hard knocks" - Brooklyn College (2001), and has taught studio art classes on and off in Manhattan, Maryland and Brooklyn for the past 17 years.

Serrone Rolon is a contributor to the higher end of contemporary art framing and paper conservation, and still freelances on the side. She works daily on her art in her studio in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, where she also resides with her family.
