Full fathom five thy father lies.
Of his bones are coral made.
Those are pearls that were his eyes.
Nothing of him that doth fade,
But doth suffer a sea-change
Into something rich and strange.
Sea-nymphs hourly ring his knell.

    -- The Tempest, Act I, Scene 2

My work is always about transformation and the natural world, and my favorite works by Shakespeare treat that theme.

I haven't read The Tempest in a long time, but it lives within me and its mysterious creatures are always popping up in my world, twisting and changing.
