Katherine Forst participated in Ancien Régime: the pre-revolutionary world in Fall 2018 at Village West.
Katherine Forst is a Brooklyn-based artist and artisan originally from Oakland, CA, who creates mixed media art rooted in
ancient mosaic technique.
She studied art history at Smith College, with an emphasis on Italian Renaissance art.
She then lived in Italy for ten years, where she studied classical mosaic in Ravenna at the Accademia delle belle arti and at
the Centro per la Formazione Professionale, which granted her "professional mosaicist" certification.
She also apprenticed at Ravenna's top mosaic studio. Her work has been shown internationally.
