Fred Fleisher participated in Ancien Régime: the pre-revolutionary world in Fall 2018 at Village West.

Fleisher was born in Pennsylvania and has lived in the New York metropolitan area for over twenty years.

After an enlistment in the army he earned a BFA in Painting and a BS in Art Education from Penn State University and an MFA from Queens College, CUNY.

He has been represented by several galleries and has had recent solo exhibitions in Brooklyn, Berlin and Chicago. He has been included in a number of two and three person exhibitions and has been selected for numerous group exhibits while working with curators, both nationally and internationally. Critical review of his work has appeared in numerous publications and his work can be found in a number of collections.

Fred has taught extensively over the last decade and a half and is an Assistant Professor at SUNY, College at Old Westbury and was also an Adjunct Professor at Hudson County Community College. He has organized several curatorial projects with the most recent being The Expanding Matrix at SUNY, College at Old Westbury, an exhibition that included 23 women artists. He has also had the opportunity to lecture about his work in a number of institutions, with the most recent being at Iona College, NY.
